The 2006 Econometric Society Australasian Meetings will be held on 4 – 7 July, 2006 at the Alice Springs Convention Centre, Alice Springs. This is a unique location for the event, in Central Australia, an ideal launching site for seeing the exceptional World Heritage sites of Uluru and Kakadu National Parks as well as the stunning local environs.
The program will consist of four keynote speakers, a number of special sessions and contributed papers. The program committee will be co-chaired by Dr Mardi Dungey of the Centre for Applied Macroeconomic Analysis at the Australian National University and Professor Peter Bardsley of the Economic Theory Centre at the University of Melbourne.
ESAM06 will be hosted by a conglomerate of four research centres based in Australian Universities, namely, the Australian Centre for Business Research (ACBR), Queensland University of Technology, the Centre for Applied Macroeconomic Analysis (CAMA), Australian National University, the Economic Theory Centre (ETC), University of Melbourne and the Quantitative Finance Research Centre (QFRC), University of Technology, Sydney.
Prospective contributors are invited to submit titles and papers in
both applied and theoretical economics and
econometrics by March 10, 2006.
